For the tool swap I made a Roubo Try Square out of Walnut. And also included a walnut strop similar to the one pictured.
They went to Boatman53. Having followed his projects and seen the quality of his work. It was a little intimidating but figured the purpose of the tool swap is to expand your skill set. And this forced me to do that. The square was square. By the way the leather on the strop is smooth side out.

I know I thanked you in a PM but here is a public thank you for the square and the strop. Don’t ever be intimidated by what you you see other people do. I’m thrilled to have the square and it is a size that I most likely would not have built for myself and the strop sees constant use.I had one years ago and it got misplaced in a move and I’d forgotten how handy they are. As far as I know it is still square in it’s new environment, but I’ll be sure to check it before it go to work. All the best.
