Just finished another of my “Silya ni Pedro”.
legs: yakal
back splat: steam bent balayong
crown: curly molave
bottom stretchers: dungon
base: ipil
The seat is hand gouged (seat and bottom) from a 4” thick narra slab. All dowels are raised and rounded off. I wanted the piece to be more tactile.
All woods used are reclaimed as with all of my projects.
Have a great weekend guys!

Benji,
I’m singing the praises of the chorus for the master of woods that are exotic to me! David Savage should include you in his next “Furniture with Soul” book. Nice delicate crafted lines preserving the nature of the woods. Tough act dude!
Working and playing. LOL!

Definitely a statement piece! This looks like it could walk away while you are sitting in it. Very nicely done.
