After refusing to hit CVS Pharmacy for a V-day card, I decided to build my lovely wife Holly a mahogany desktop photo locket. I built it from scraps, glue-laminated and made some pretty unique cuts on the bandsaw. I mortise retreaded the mini-hinge, light stained & clear coated it. She builds custom cards, stamping and has some way of applying photos like 3M sticky-notes.

She loves it and I still ended up going to CVS for chocolates, haha!

I think she will like this better than a card any day!
I did something similar for Valentines, I should post mine too, thanks for the reminder!

I really like how you contoured the heart into the base, it makes the piece flow. Great work.

Cool and pretty project that I’m sure your wife loves and it’s way better than a card. Great design and beautiful wood.
