I saw the posts on the shell box produced by SPALM on this forum, I just had to try it on my machine. I think it turned out great. THANKS again to SPALM for the design and files. just made a few modifications for the bits and wood thickness and VOILA, a great box and the given to the wife for Valentines day.
The box is made of Honduran Mahogany, scraps that i have been hoarding from a brother in law’s guitar project.

Thanks for looking

Why Be, this is nice work. I wish you had included dimensions and pictures of how it is hinged. It might be nice to do something with the inside…say dividers and/or a liner. Looks like you have conquered all of the technical aspects of carving this. I especially like that the scallops from the edge continue down the entire box. Mahogany seems to be an ideal wood for carving. Keep boxing and keep posting.

Great looking box! Be careful, your wife might decide she needs to fill it with pearls. :)
