Made this Ear Ring Holder for my Wife today. It’s turned from some Birdseye Maple, with a Marblewood insert in the top tray, I’m not sure of the species of wood that I used for the column. It measurs 6” tall and 5” in diameter. I dished out both the upper and lower trays slightly so that it would also allow for ear rings that were post type and possibly hold other small pieces of jewelry. I drilled 36 holes around the outside of the upper tray so it will hold 18 pair of wire type ear rings. It was a fun little project.

Awesome Bill. Two birds with one stone. The Marblewood insert is a cool idea. I have to get back to the lathe soon.

Very attractive turning, nicely done. Also, great bonus points with the misses I’m sure.
