My Dad and I built this vanity for his garage apartment. The face frame and doors are made of poplar and the box is cabinet grade plywood. My mom gets the credit for the finish, it’s painted with milk paint and finished off with black wax.

Lovely little vanity. Tell me more about the finish. What milk paint color? What is the black wax you applied?

Jon,

That is a great looking vanity! The hardware selection is right up my alley too!

Ron: The paint is actually chalk paint, sorry I miss-typed. The color is burgundy and the dark wax gives it an aged/rustic look. Both the paint and wax are made by the company Annie Sloan.

10 points for the vanity,
But there has to be a slight point deduction for letting the toilet paper run under instead of over…:)

Nicely done, love the fact that it was a family project.

Pretty vanity, simple design but it looks really well crafted and like the beautiful finish. Great job!

Have your say...
