I really do like pens and I just realized that I have never posted any pen projects. The pens are from several different types of pen kits and a couple that aren’t available any more (sadly). Imperial, Lotus, and Statesman are the larger pens and the two small ones are Wall Street II. The pens are made of many different types of wood some stabilized and some not. I’m a lefty so all of the pens are roller ball or ball point because fountain pens do not work well for us lefties! These are only a few of the pens that I have made but I can assure all that I will never have enough pens. I really do love pens and making them is fun too.

Those are all nice…well done sir.
What is your choice of finish for the wood pens?

CA glue is my choice. I put about 20 coats of CA on each pen.

Great pens! Are they fountain or roller-ball models? If you have some extra time or pens you should check out this site: http://www.freedompens.org/ who will help you get cheap pen parts and will send pens to overseas military personnel!

I feel your pain :-). I too can’t seem to get enough pens to make me happy. In fact that is exactly how I ended up selling high end pens online in 1998 (and still going strong). I could not afford to keep making pens and giving them away, so I started a web site to sell them (1998 the internet was in it’s infancy – Al Gore had just invented it). Well, one thing led to another and I got contacted by a couple of the “Big Boy” pen manufacturers and allowed to sell their high end pens. I still love the Pen Kits and turning them myself though.

Just so you “Lefties” know, you can use a Fountain Pen – but you need an Oblique nib on it, this should make it work for you all. My Wife is a Southpaw also and she has trouble with the Gel inks, they want to smear because of dragging her hand across the freshly applied ink.
