I’m back with another variation on the bent wood ring.
This time I took two shavings, one walnut one maple, and wrapped them together and made a laminated ring. There are some variables to play with when doing these but I like how this first attempt came out. The Mrs. quickly claimed this one as hers so that must be a good sign. :)
I used CA (superglue) for the finish and some wax.
These are quick and simple projects with minimal tools or space required. In fact, this is a great “too cold for going to the shop” project that can be done inside by the woodstove where it is warm and dry!
