It may just be the angle, but it looks extremely thick! What did you use to finish it? Looks good!

Agree. More Details would be appreciated. VERY Heavy looking. What did you do for a Finished edge?

The finish is a gloss wipe on poly about 5 coats, anytime I am want the high gloss finish, I will use either 600 or 1200 grit sandpaper depending how high of a gloss I want the final coat to take on. Looks are deceiving…. It is actually a 1” board with a 1” piece of trim around the bottom and a 45 degree chamfer edge around the top, this is what is giving it the appearance of being thick and heavy.
