i made this dresser for my mom. the complete set includes a dresser, nightstand, bookcase, headboard, footboard, and armoire. i made this out of white oak and figured angre veneer. my mom gave me the basic size and style the she wanted. then i went from there and drew up some measured drawings. i did bent laminations for the top of the mirror and headboard and footboard. all the panels are bookmatched veneer. the frames for everything are mortis and tenon joints, the drawers are dovetailed with a leigh dovetail jig and the spacing is different for each size drawer. just looking for some feedback. i am new to the web

I think your ratings on this project are too low. Maybe it is your competitors that are rating it at this point. Don’t lose heart, a quality project like this is an heirloom that will surely out live you, being cherished by those that come after your mother to use it.
I like the details of the beads around your drawer and side panels, nice touch. If you want to, I would like to hear how this is done, as it is not obvious from your photos to learn how this is accomplished.
Did you make your own drawer boxes?
Your veneering work is wonderful. I look forward to seeing your next pieces.

hi mark
thank you for your comments. i made the drawers out of soft maple, and use a leigh dovetail jig so i could space the dovetails different for each size drawer. the beads around the panel and drawers are rather simple but time consuming. first i s4s the stock to size, then used a beading bit, to create a bullnose, then cut a rabbit to fit the panels. each piece is mitered.
i will post more pictures soon and of my shop.
not sure how to respond to each one individually, new to this

Very nice details in the beading and veneer work. I appreciate the details that don’t scream at you “HERE I AM”, rather they beg you to look closer.
Keep up the good work. Keeping the details consistent between pieces in a large set over a lengthy time is very diffucult, it looks like you did a great job there.
