Something a bit different to what I normally do – what do you think? A coat rack – I Made from one pallet and some rusted thing that I found in the paddock.
Basically just dismantled the pallet even left the nails in there. Sanded them lightly and screwed them to the back boards. Waxed the boards a couple of times.
Had to clean up the metal thingy somewhat and find suitable rusted screws to match but it’s come up really well. Want to hang it in the laundry somewhere.
Bit hard to photograph but it looks good.

Definitely has that rustic look going on! I like the look personally. What a great find with the rusted thing found in the paddock!

See your redecorating! I think it will look great wherever you hang it. Do you have another rusty thing, with all that extra space you could use the top hooks for hats and the lower one for jackets. Just a thought.

I’m glad you left the sun-burned stripes on as removing them would not have given it the character. As for me, I probably would put additional hanger bars below and make it a ball-cap rack. Somehow through the years, I seem to have accumulated about 40 caps with no place to hang them! LOL!

Cool coat rack! Like the look of pallets, lots of rustic charm which goes well with the old hardware. Great job!

Really cool, I have a soft spot for recycle.
