Here are a couple of my most recent turnings.
The first is a Walnut bowl that is 12” in diameter and 4” deep, with a lot of worm holes. I almost discarded the blank when I discovered the worm holes but they do add some character. I filled them on the inside and left them open on the outside.
The second and my favorite of the two is from Apple wood. It is about 10” in diameter and 3” deep. Apple wood it becoming one of my favorite woods to turn.

Both are finished in multiple applications of walnut oil with a wax top coat.

I like both bowls. The grain is great in both. I have some very old apple platter blanks, I’ve never turned apple, but now I’ll give it a try.
Cheers

VERY very Nice.
I really hope that my Apple tree blanks are as good as yours.
Thanks for showing.
Bob.

Both are gorgeous bowls, the pretty grains really pop with your finish. Great job!
