Challenge01(Thorsen Table) No-picture-s No-picture-s Click the pictures to enlarge them

This is my completed table. I used reclaimed pine (toung and groove) and reclaimed mahogany (was legs off an old headboard). The finish is semi gloss poly sprayed on. The diamonds on the aprons are raised they were glued on. I used mortise and tennons for the joints. The edges of the top and the stringers as well as the diamonds are mahogany. I enjoyed making this table and I will make a few more and all will be a little different. I have allready glued up the stock for the other tables.

Congratulations on completion, & I wish you Luck.
It turned out real nice.
I also enjoy using salvaged lumber.

Great work, John.

One note about proper tagging of the challenge entry. Go to edit project screen and type in ‘challenge01’ under Project Tags. There is no need to use challenge01 in the title. Tag is important. Once done your project must be listed on this projects by tag page. That will be the page listing all of the valid entries.

I will try to make this clearer in the announcement ;)

Beautiful John. You dove right in and produced a wonderful piece. Congrats to you. Am looking forward to seeing what you do to the other tables.

Thanks everyone. I had some time today so I started a small one out of some teak scraps I had laying around. It will be about 12inches tall. I may finish it tomorrow.

Have fun all and work safe.

Very Nice Shack:
How does it feel to be the first to complete your table?

What are you planning to do with your tables?
