This is my first project after moving and getting set up in my new shop. It’s a music box for my daughter, the marquetry on top is her name and a fairy she drew. You can’t really tell from the picture but the purpleheart that the box is made from is very figured. The top is curly maple, holly and various dyed veneers.

Thanks for looking.

Nice looking box. It is a great feature adding her fairy as a prominent design feature. She will treasure it always. Thanks for sharing.

I envy you your talent for marquetry. Do you dye your own veneers? Beautiful work
