After the creation of the previous cabinet for my eldest, my youngest got to designing her own – very strong willed young lady – here is the result of my effort and her design – she helped with hand planing some of the timber (door frames etc). Carcase is maple (my last few pieces) – handcut dovetails, fixed shelves are walnut adjustable ones are maple, door frames are mahogany and the panels are Kauri Plywood (sorry about that) – first effort and frame and panel construction. Pictures are the best – taken by my daughter on her camera. Enjoy.

I really like the frame and panel doors. The design is excellent as well; the proportions are very well balanced. Your daughter should design some more furniture.

Very nice! Your daughter designed this herself?

Hi all,
thanks for the comments and yes my 8 year old designed it (7 when she designed it) and now it’s on the wall and full of her stuff she gives it a rub every day as she walks past in the morning.
