My grandfather recently passed away and we were given a flag for his time in the service. He showed me a majority of what I know about construction and woodworking. So naturally I wanted to make him a flag case that was as unique as he was. So this is what I came up with. It is made of old rustic barn find walnut a friend had given me and some maple for splines and accents.

Wonderfully done and a perfect tribute to your grandfather.

I think he’d be quite proud of the workmanship. A wonderful tribute.
