Here is just a little box I made a few weeks back. Just something simple to put “stuff” in.

I just love this wood.

Nicely done….how often I find myself getting frustrated with something then revert back to the basics to get refocused. Welcome to LJs. Two quick thoughts….keep this box and sign and date it. You can reflect back on years in the future. Second, keep challenging yourself beyond your comfort zone. Again, welcome and will be looking forward to seeing your next projects.

It looks great. I like that wood too. Of course I’m kind of like Will Rogers… except I never met a wood I didn’t like. Can’t say the same for hinges though.

Thanks guys. It was one of my first projects that turned out very well. Simple for sure, but I loved the way it turned out. Now I am working on a Jewelry box for the wife. I will post up some pics once I get it done.

Nice start for a first project. This wood is also called ambrosia maple.
