Rough Creek Ranch Tap Handle

Part of the Gwiz Shop 2013 Christmas Gifts, this one to a family friend.

Wood Types: I used Purple Heart (Peltogyne) for the ring and dark accents. The lighter wood for cross hairs and center line is Maple (Acer saccharum). Only used in the hour glass shape of the handle is a type of Tiger Wood I believe to be Coula edulis, but I’m not 100% sure on the species. The Hourse Shoe is Padauk (Pterocarpus soyauxii).

The mirroring double R was burned into the Maple with a wood burning pen.

All the wood was purchased from House of Hardwood in Los Angeles

That’s one fancy tap handle, cool design, attractive wood combo and great finish.
