Rough Creek Ranch Tap Handle

Part of the Gwiz Shop 2013 Christmas Gifts, this one to a family friend.

Wood Types: I used Purple Heart (Peltogyne) for the ring and dark accents. The lighter wood for cross hairs and center line is Maple (Acer saccharum). Only used in the hour glass shape of the handle is a type of Tiger Wood I believe to be Coula edulis, but I’m not 100% sure on the species. The Hourse Shoe is Padauk (Pterocarpus soyauxii).

The mirroring double R was burned into the Maple with a wood burning pen.

All the wood was purchased from House of Hardwood in Los Angeles

Great Job! What a visually beautiful piece! You are very talented… I hope Rough Creek decides to order a 100 from you.

Thank you guys! I’ve had an account with Lumberjocks for a while now, but just kind of forgot about it and never posted anything. Now that my first post is up, I have a bunch more coming. I hope you like them.

That’s one fancy tap handle, cool design, attractive wood combo and great finish.
