Sea Gem Ring

I tried thinking outside the box and added a little twist. A tiny sea shell as the center gem. I really like the top view of it, not as cool from the straight on angle. Really any thoughts would be appreciated, I have very mixed feelings! Lol is it tacky or cool?

Good idea! It does look great straight on, like you said but it is a bit… odd from the side. I think that you are on to something. Maybe an inlay of the shell only half as tall. It seems to me like it might be a bit fragile or easy to snag being that tall. Just thoughts.

Very nice.

I do agree with Brett.

That will probably be a good seller for you.

Awesome that’s really good input! Yeah, top is cool I thought. There is some room with that style shell to be sanded down about 1/3 more so that probably would definitely help very much with the overall cosmetics of it. Thank you!

if you make another, i’d say sand the back of the shell with a spindle sander the same diameter as the ring, i’d say sand 1/2 the thickness off. That way the shell would fit flush with the ring and not look bulged out.

I like the look of the ring too. I also agree with what the other Jocks have said. If I were you I would make more of this style!!!

I think it’s beautiful, the sea shell is a great accent. The ladies will love it.

Have your say...
