THE POLE DANCE CONTINUES No picture No picture No picture No picture No picture

Feb 4, 2014

Since the first posting of utilizing that post in the middle of your shop, my post sat there begging for more. So I extended the pole usage further down. To see how the top was constructed see the ORIGINAL POSTING .

Here I will show you how I utilized the rest of the pole.

After extending the box down the pole, I first made a hanger for my levels that were stored in a hard to reach corner of my shop. I also added a place to hang my metal yard stick and other metal rules.

To the left of the levels I added a removable box to store screw containers. This is accessible from front or back. Because my shop is so cozy, making this box removable was a good idea. It just slips over 2 screws.

Viewing the pole from the other side I added a coat hook to hang my shop smock. Under the pencil sharpener I hung a small mallet and a shop paper towel holder.

The only other change I made to the top of the pole is a holder for my 2 remote controls (one for the TV and one for the JET Air Cleaner). They originally attached with velcro strips.

As you can see the pole dance can be fun and full of function.

Thanks for looking.

Hey Alex, Nice organizational design. One of the “posts” in my shop became the nerve center for all of my switches and special location for items for my shop. Might as well be something besides just a post to hold up the roof. I hear we are going to be up in Marietta around the 23rd of Feb for something. Maybe we can plan an LJ meeting.
