I was waiting a long time to get the right lumber for this project and just didn’t seem to find any for a reasonable price. I live in Northern Canada so selection is harder to get to. So it’s all made out of regular 2×10 spruce boards. Also not the vise I’d like to have forever but I had this one and it was free and works well. All in all it turned out better than I expected and it’s such a joy to work on. Now i know what the big deal is about a proper work bench!

Great job – it’s unbelievable the difference a sturdy bench makes.
I’m in Eastern Canada, and have had great success finding rough lumber on kijiji.

I also got a good chuckle seeing those chairs off to the side. We had the exact same ones here as well.

That’s a real beauty. I love that heavy duty bench top, and legs. I’ll have to build one just like that. Very very nice.
