I was commissioned to design and build this wall-hanging Jewelry Armoire by my father for my parent’s 40th Wedding Anniversary. He understood that I had only been woodworking for about six months by this point (June 2013), so he wasn’t expecting perfection, but I’m we were surprised with how well it turned out! The panel is actually flooring underlayment from the big blue store – I bought it in a pinch, but now use it on a lot of small-ish projects that require some nice grain… it’s about $8 for a half sheet, and always has clear grain patterns (for only being 1/4”). I didn’t envision the glass butterflies, but now that my mother put them on there, I think it’s a nice touch! Constructed of Radiata Pine and somehow I chose the right stain to match (by memory – from 2000 miles away.)

Great job! Very nice storage for jewelries. Like the wood choice and finish.

That turned out real nice. I bet they were pleased with it.
