Another piece salvaged from the dumpster at work. This cabinet had a broken stretcher across the top so it was destined for a landfill. I saved it, replaced the stretcher with a piece of hardwood, and made the top out of scrap ply and red oak I had laying around the garage. The stain and polyurethane finish were leftovers from other projects as well, and the lamp was one that a friend gave me.

Gave this to my little brother as a late birthday gift so he doesn’t have to keep all of his things on the floor. (The headboard, box spring, and bed frame were his Christmas gifts).

Nice save, I saved a night stand once and after I sanded the paint off it was made of Birds Eye Maple.

Sold it for 75 bucs.

Great repair, it looks really great and very nice finish. I’m sure your brother loves the cool gifts you gave. Great job!
