Really beautiful Ron, your work with the bleaching and dye is great, specially like pic 3.
I’ll get a how to on the shell done shortly, having cataract surgery tomorrow, will be nice to see what I am doing.

Hey Bob good luck with the surgery. Hope all goes well and you are better able to see. Maybe when you can see better the shells will be better LOL. I love them. We need to do a swap. I would like to dye one of your shells

Hopefully will be able to see where the scroll saw blade is cutting at the moment it is cut and hope.
Sounds good Ron, what would be the best wood for dying or would you like to play with ply wood. Will be out of action for a week or so and will get in touch. I have some smaller ones from Oregon ready to go.

It’s beautiful. Hard to believe its only 5” tall. What’s the wall thickness?
Cheers

Wall thinkness is around 1/4 inch. It is a little thicker toward the bottom. This was a 3/8 inch hole when I started. It is a little bigger when i finished

Wonderful piece! Delicate shape and stunning colors. Like the holes and the dainty finial. Excellent turning!
