In memory of my younger brother, Dave, who passed away on Nov.21, 2013, after a short battle with cancer, I carved commemorative boxes for my parents, Dave’s wife, and her three children. My youngest niece wanted a panda, so a panda is what she got! Two of the boxes for my nephews are not shown as the same pattern was used as shown in my previous project postings.
I have one more box to carve for my older brother.
It was an honor to be able to do this for my family.

Beautifully carved and condolences on your loss.

In southern Wisconsin I watched a chip carver “from the old country” carve a number of plates and was intrigued by his control of the knife. It was like he had drawn the pattern on the plate and was just following the lines.

Marty,

Very beautifully done. What a lovely tribute. So sorry for your loss. It’s very difficult to lose a brother so young.

I’m really sorry about the loss of your brother, Marty. As usual your carving is always top notch and these will be nice beautiful memorials to your brother.
