Third in the series of boxes the son and I are making for Valentines Day. This one is 6” x 4”, 1.5” tall. 1/4” rare earth magnets for the latch. Another Steve Good Design. I tweaked the design to make the lid pivot rather than be removable. Red Oak top and bottom, body is 3/4” poplar laminated top and bottom with 1/8” baltic birch ply for visual interest.

Thanks for looking.

The scroll work is incredible I like the swivel top.

That is nice ! Since it’s for V-day a red felt on the inside of the lid as a backing for the scroll work would make it pop. But your scroll can’t be beat.

Gotta give my son credit, he did the fretwork on the top, I did the assembly and finish.

I love this box. You really did a nice job on it.

I had planned to line the bottom with felt, but forgot to trace the inside before I glued the bottom on. DOH!

Oh well, we have a second one in the works, will try to remember this time! :) :) :)

Wonderful box! Like the pivoting lid and the scroll work looks amazing, very intricate. Great job!
