Project Information
Yes, I am doing wood projects! Not anything really creative, just functional for the moment.
Refurbished this Sofa for my re entry into private practice. More time than money! The sofa had some problems. When I took it apart I found the webbing had deteriorated. It would be funny only in a sitcom? My friendly Fleet Farm/Ace Hardware provided the brass grommets and the webbing (used for strapping and towing).
It works! Assembled it last night at the office. Sat on it. I think it will work! I have some found pieces. A little Art Deco Desk and a chair that need some work. They are next!
This is not what I would have posted as a first furniture piece, but A1Jim asked me to post it when I got it together.
I rubbed down the finish with four ought steel wool. Then put a matching coat of Oil based Walnut stain on it. Jim suggested a poly urethane finish. Then a coat of Johnsons paste wax.
