I bought and restored this honey of an antique vise to use on the workbench I’m working on, other than many many hours of patiently degreasing, derusting, and otherwise fiddling with this big heavy lady there’s not much to tell. The end result slides smoothly, engages when it ought to, and generally behaves itself as though brand new, a hundred or so years after it was brand new.

Oh You need to highlight the letters. That looks so cool on the before picture. Use a block of wood with the paint on the end to put it on the letters.

But that date on there is important. It’s what gives it value. Be proud of it.

I think the picture gives the impression that the text is hard to read in red, which it isn’t in person.
