Hey Guys!

I just completed and installed this floating vanity top for a really great client. We used 3” thick reclaimed Douglas Fir floor joists from an old dance hall built in 1895. The joists were pristine and straight.

The project was really simple, but I enjoyed it just the same. The pictures show it with the sink basin placed on top. The bathroom – and the entire house – are still under construction.

We will be building 3 barn doors…vanity drawer fronts and cladding a fireplace in brown barn board. All of the materials on this job will be reclaimed.

Cheers!

Nice little project and great score on the Fir.
