This was my first large furniture piece. It was based on plans from a magazine, with some personal changes requested by my wife. This piece really taught me a ton about building “real furniture”. It is QS White Oak with a cherry stain.

Well done, a classy piece. I plan to make something similar out of barnwood in the near future.

Your proportions look good, and I like the corbels too.

Nice! A classic for sure.
Jokker-Minwax makes a cherry but I really like Sherwin Williams Classic Cherry.

Beautiful piece, the white oak looks great and like the stain. Classy design and very well executed. Great job!
