Here is a doll bed I made for my daughter. The headboard and footboard are connected to the rails using dovetails and the feet were rabbeted and attached to the bottom side of the frame. The slat rails and slats were simply glued to the side rails of the bed frame.

The “K” was made by printing the letter on a sheet of paper using a simple word processor, tracing it onto the headboard using graphite paper, and free-hand routing out the letter. Really easy to do if you take your time.

The finish is seal coat of shellac, mixed walnut and pecan stain, and 3 coats of wipe on poly.

My daughter loves it and her doll “Kate” is sleeping in it as we speak.

Beautiful and well crafted doll bed. Great design, joints and finish. I’m sure she’ll enjoy it for many years. Great job!
