Made this today for my nephew 9th birthday.
made of plywood and the “apps” are made of mahogany. Each have a little magnet drilled into the wood and on the pad there is a metal sheet that i sandwiched between the bottom and the border. We painted it to keep it as real as possible.
we used a pear as we don’t want to get sued by Apple.

Sorry for the bad pics, as this went straight from the shop to the recipient. by the way, he saw it, checked and put it aside to keep plying with his granny smart phone. :)

Cute project Nayo. Great attention to detail. Hard to compete with the real thing. Maybe better suited to a younger child. Thanks for sharing.

Yup, that’s what we were thinking, maybe bigger and with animal, letter or number shapes, or maybe all of them.
the thing is that he actually asked for this. kids!
BTW, i forgot to mention the apps are decals/stickers that i have made on a printing store.

Nothing wrong with stickers. Would make a good travel game…Tic Tac Toe, and so on.

haha, nice work, but I guess the real one is more entertaining. One day he will love the handmade things

I like your project…but for a 9 year old? :-)
My three yr old grand daughter would like it. She has a play phone, and talks up a storm.

Well he actually asked for this in first place! Kids. Dunno how they work.

Have your say...
