This is an Asian Style box made of curly maple and bubinga. When I first started this, I thought it was going to be really simple until I got to the legs. I bet I went through 4 sets of legs. My wife only knew of 3 sets. Once I figured out the jig part of it, the tapers on the legs became alot simpler.

I put a coat of tung oil and then decided it would look better with a more glossy finish. After realizing this, I sprayed it with about ten coats of laquer. Thanks so much everyone for the kind remarks.

Nice box. It has nice clean lines, and a good contrast between the timbers. I think I’ve got the plans for this one – I’ll watch out for the legs.
