Heres a log pedestal I made!

It was very easy!

The log is Elm wood

Cut it rough in the yard… layed it on the shop bench..

Used a square to project a square line to cut..

Cut with the chainsaw, then 60 grit on an angle grinder, then finished with a palm sander and some linseed oil!

Very easy to make, looks nice! With the right wood, Im sure you can make a very beautiful log pedestal.

Nice rustic piece. When you decide to redecorate, you can always use the piece for something else later, should the mood hit you. Nice, especially if you can get the wood for free.
