box with end grain inlay

another box without mechanism! what a lazy man ;-)
with the remaining strips of this project
I made a log for little inlay (the main project use 13×13 = 169 strips)

the box structure is in lenga, inlay mostly local hardwoods

finishing with laquer

Another beautiful box Cancharanay! The inlay really is striking. What tool did you use to flatten the inlay to the box top surface? Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic looking box! The pretty wood colors really stand out with the maple. Like the cool mechanism. Great job as usual.
