64 dovetails, about as many bandaids, exponentially more cuss words. If people named projects, I would name this one “Carmen” after the Italian lady on Lanai in 2010. Out of my league, but worked out to be an amazingly rich learning experience.

It looks beautiful. You’ve built an heirloom for sure.

BTW, I’m glad I’m not the only one who buys bandaids in bulk at Sam’s club :)

She’s a beauty for sure. I hope you put (or plan to put) some sort of maker’s mark and a year so future generations can know who and when made this heirloom.

Great looking chest, take small piece of light colored wood, write on it and use a couple of brass screws to mount it. On the plaque, you can personalize it very nicely. I use a black fine point sharpie,, then use rattle can lacquer to protect it.

Looks GREAT. She will cherish it forever, a small price for a couple of nicked up hands :)

I don’t know what “League” you are in, but I want to join! Great job, I am sure she will cherish it forever.

Beautiful creation, excellent build. Dovetails are outstanding, choice of wood, and grain layout make this a fantastic chest.

beautiful chest, it looks great. I can’t imagine cutting 64 dovetails. Your looks great. I also like the nice detail/shape of the legs.
