That looks perfectly executed Kevin. I like the blend of materials, great figure in the maple. It’s a bold, unconventional look and I really like it. Not sure about the black chimney breast, probably a ‘grower’, but the cabinets either side are really neat. Those nightstands are cool too – did you send out for the metalwork?

Thanks,
The bathroom looks great, wish I could have gotten back far enough to get the whole shot in, going to have to get me a wide angle lens. I agree with the black granite, looks like it’s just missing something but I haven’t been able to figure what. Maybe when they get the room cleaned up and the TV put in that will help.

I did all the metal work myself. It’s no different than laminate. Contact cement it on rout it off. The trick is sharp router bits and filing the edges nice. Also half the job is not scratching the metal during construction.

Thanks for commenting.

It’s just not their thing. I get it. (unless my stuff just sucks that bad)
A little disappointing though, knowing what kind of work goes into finishing these kind of jobs.
This site just isn’t into general cabinetry as much as cutting boards and boxes.. mostly retired hobbyist and such.

Yes, I don’t think too many know what’s involved in a job like this, especially when you’re under pressure to turn it round quickly. Lots of measuring, lots of working out, lot of making and a lot of fitting.
