Made as a gift for my brother-in-law. Used veneer for the panel. It was my first time using veneer so it was a bit of an adventure. I tried using red titebond glue on both surfaces, letting it dry, then ironing it onto the mdf. This did not go well :/. Luckily, I was able to use that first attempt as the bottom of the panel where it would be a little more inconspicuous. I got the Titebond cold press glue and it was waaaaay easier. The seam on the top stayed tight and there was no cracking. I used walnut for the splines. Finished with Danish Oil and Arm-R-Seal

Looks great and well finished. Like the splines, make nice contrast. Great gift that I’m sure he appreciates.
