Spalted Tamarind is a beautiful wood from Southeast Asia. I just got a really nice piece about a week ago. Good color and not punky at all.
This is the 8th pen this coworker has ordered in the last month and a half. The second one with a decal added ( his wife’s name).
Started it yesterday after work and finished it tonight just in time for him to give her tomorrow for her b-day.
Finished with 8 coats of CA glue. Water sanded thru the standard 12,000 grit.
Sorry about the pics just used the tablet didn’t pull out the camera for this one.

Thanks for looking and let me know what you think or if you have any questions.

Very nice, the decal works well with the grain in the wood.

Looks great! How’d you get a decal on it?

The decal is a water slide. Just like what is used on plastic models. I print at home and place on after a few coats of CA glue.
Thanks for the nice words!
