A simple to build easy to use hand plane rack. It’s not pretty but works great – function over form for the shop. The only difference between slots is the width. I found that all the different length planes could be retained at the same height, making the rack versatile as the tools changed over time. I’ve already made a change – closing the width on the last slot on the right to make room for the Veritas BUS acquired a couple of months ago. It hangs fairly high on the wall, but I’m able to get the Stanley #7 (1st on the left) out without a problem. The rack extends out about 3” on the bottom to use gravity to hold them against the wall. The wife keeps stuff on the floor in this area all the time so my access is from the left. The heaviest planes get the closest slot and I can just reach the last slot. Planes from left to right:

Stanley Bailey #7
Stanley Bailey #5-1/2
Stanley Bailey #4-1/2
Stanley Bailey #4-1/2
Stanley Bailey #5
Stanley Bailey #4
Veritas BUS
Stanley Bailey #2

Nice collection of planes, I like how you have them traped in the rack. Well done
