Made this for my daughter for Christmas.

It has an oak top and lower shelf. For the painted pieces, I used poplar to add a little flare to go with the sea colors of her bed room. The legs are maple which I was dissapointed in. I should not have stained them and went natural. I believe the contrast between the oak and the natural maple would have been more appealing. Also I sanded over the corners. I just recently acquired a router and would have love to round over the edges of the table.
