Catan players out there, about to put the top border or “ocean” on and can’t decide whether to just drill forstner holes directly into the maple border, and then use the same size 1 in disks to denote the 2:1 3:1 ports , or make the 9- 5 sided port tiles and the drill them for the port trade measures. About the board. I should have bought dyes because I dislike the blue player pieces but O well next time also the original plan called for all the resource tiles to be bordered with a grid on top of the oak ply, but I decided to go with a six player game instead of four so back to work, right after I finish painting my shop and installing the new windows.

I vote for option one. I have never used the additional loose ports, only the integrated ones in the boarder.

By the way, this is super badass. How did you make the disks?
