All right! So I made this skewer knife block as an X-mass present for someone. The original design was by Chris Schwartz. It features finger joint construction from maple and walnut and has 1600 skewers epoxied to the bottom. It was a fun project, it taught me a lot about grain matching, the top and bottom pieces of maple were cut from the same board to improve the flow. The day I brought it over and gave it to them, they took all of their knives out of their block and shoved them in the new one…I can’t ask for much more than that!

Side note: The last picture is my jig to mill down my lumber from 3/4” to 1/2”, it works well.
