I made this for us out of quartersawn white oak. I finished it with TransTint Reddish Brown in alcohol so there would be no raising of the grain between the spindles. Ingenious design to moun the spindles inside of a box joint strip. Looks like an instant antique. I’m making a dresser to go with it now.

Max's photos are much better. It looks like they’re from the same plan. Since I hang over the end of a queen-sized bed, I didn’t make the footboard, much to the chagrin of my girlfriend. The silver lining is that it only took half the time to make the headboard.
