I needed something with smart storage that wouldn’t impeded the flow of our already cramped master bedroom.

I love the height of this piece for its place in the room. We have our TV mounted fairly high on the wall, and fills the space beneath it perfectly. For being only 11 3/4” deep, it has great storage potential. I have a shelf on one side, and I am using the other side as a shoe rack (I have 6 cafe-size tension rods spaced out to make the shoe rack).

I used 1×12 boards for the sides, center divider, and the top, 1/4” plywood for the back and door fronts, and trimmed it in 1/4s and 1/2s. The baskets are from Walmart. Minwax Walnut stain and Ace Hardware hardware.I could have used nicer plywood for the door fronts, but I liked the rustic look of what we had in our scrap pile. This is an Ana White plan, and there is also a Shanty-2-Chic tutorial that I found after the fact. Love those ladies, check them out!

It looks great and very functional. Like the wood, finish as well as the hardware. Great job!
