i finally did a cutting board!, well i have done before but not in this style.
this was made for my Mom. its made out of leftover wedges of mahogany. it has a frame around just in case.
the gluing was a bit difficult as this are wedges and i dont have enough clamps, so i have to do with a spanish windlass to get it done. mind you, there were some gaps that i could not fit properly, so some putty had to do it.
now my Mom says its too pretty to use it as a chopping board! go figures.

here are more photos of the build: http://imgur.com/a/MSXEY/all

That’s one way to clamp it all together. Nice board

Great job. I also appreciate you showing the process. It shows great work requires great imagination as much as tools.

Cool cutting board. In all honesty you did better than me given what you have.
If I have to use your tools, I will fail miserably.

well done!
