This project was about as simple as it gets, but very gratifying. The colors in this piece of cherry were outstanding. There were a variety of colors in the wood including rust, orange, salmon, yellow, brown, grey and black.

We cut the slab and routed two channels in the bottom to hide the 1” square steel tube mounts for a floating counter top.

I agree. It was a shame to cover it up with that sink.
