Made this bookcase for my mom for a Christmas present.

Had a great time building it & learned a lot. Used FWW plans, except I didn’t add doors as this was a bookcase versus a cupboard. Used cherry for most of it, pine for the rail & stile back of the case. Also use walnut dowels to pin the shelves. Applied dewaxed shellac to the back and Waterlox wipe on varnish to all cherry.

This was my first attempt at cutting dovetails.

Ryan—I agree with you 1000%. However, every time I’ve done this using my iPhone, the pics come up sideways or even upside down. Do you know how to fix this?

Thanks,

Mike
