fumed oak, linden, amber, Ural malachite, mother-of-perl, 30-40 cm.
A mirror in which the other reality is reflected.
Sometimes we feel some warmth which comes from the workpiece. We also feel something delicate and elusive, which makes our heart ache like a nostalgia. It makes us remember those times, when we used to fly in our sleep, used to read fairy tales and legends, when everything aroud us seemed so big and meaningful. “Scythian Lullanby” reminds us warmth of a bright summer day, sweet melodies of our ancestors, a fantastic world of an ancient tale.
It seems that one can endlessly peer into fancy reflections of ancient legends in the workpiece. Every element is obviously all-sufficient, and at the same time it is bound up with other elements by a delicate thread of pristine tale. Our attention streams from one detail to another. Ophidian Goddess is rustling gently, while shades of spiritual creatures appear for a moment among the trees. Soothsaying rods fall down onto the ground… Depth and space are joined, like truth and fantasy are interlaced in a tale.
...A dream wraps up your soul and body, and in the mirror you see another reality. It is the world of childhood dreams, wonderful fairy tales, ancient legends and, surely, the world of imagination and creative work, which helps the Master represent this imperseptable world in a tangible reality.
