That must have been difficult to hold the router as you went below the letters. I like the “rustic” look of the lettering and the way you removed the material around the letters.

Thank you it wasn’t that difficult to hold the router… I did it so that it was supported as much as possible

I’ve found that its really hard to route signs without a guide.
I’ve got a template set from Sears, years ago, but this set looks better.

I have always routered free handed. i would draw the stencil or pattern on and go at it!

Yea that really helps out I did that on our Porter-Cable at my High School!

I’ve never tried making a sign. I’m thinking I’ll give it a shot in the future. I’ve been awful at freehanding anything with the router so I’ll try to use a template. You look to be well on your way though!
