Well here is my 2nd attempt at the routed sign. I got bold after watching a dvd on sign carving. I realized afterwards that i needed to make the letters larger. Although I have to admit I am getting better.

That must have been difficult to hold the router as you went below the letters. I like the “rustic” look of the lettering and the way you removed the material around the letters.

Thank you it wasn’t that difficult to hold the router… I did it so that it was supported as much as possible

I’ve found that its really hard to route signs without a guide.

I’ve got a template set from Sears, years ago, but this set looks better.

I’ve never tried making a sign. I’m thinking I’ll give it a shot in the future. I’ve been awful at freehanding anything with the router so I’ll try to use a template. You look to be well on your way though!
